Abstract

Potatoes are the most important commodity in the world after rice, corn and wheat. According to BPS vegetable crop statistics, Indonesia's potato production between 2016 and 2020 was [2016] 1,213,041-tons, [2017] 1,164,738-tons, [2018] 1,284,762-tons, [2019] 1,314,657-tons , up to 1,282,762-tonnes [2020]. The purpose of community service is to provide understanding, increase the efficiency of production costs and the production of potato farmers. The target object of this training activity is potato farmers who have not applied the silver black plastic mulch technique. Method  the implementation of the training was carried out by providing training materials and hands-on practice on the technique of installing silver black plastic mulch, planting holes in the land, in order to be cost efficient and increase optimal potato production per hectare of land. The result of the implementation of the service is that a very good understanding is obtained in the application of the technique of using silver black plastic mulch. With the training and practice of installing silver black plastic mulch, it is hoped that it will increase the understanding, cost efficiency and production of potato farmers.
