Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Mendalo Indah melalui Pelatihan Biokonversi Limbah Organik Menggunakan Maggot (Hermetia illucens) untuk Penguatan Ecological Citizenship dan Pro-Environmental Behaviour

Abstract
Permasalahan sampah organik di Indonesia masih menjadi tantangan serius, ditunjukkan oleh sampah makanan yang merupakan jenis sampah dominan pada sebagian besar rumah tangga. Kurangnya pengetahuan teknis dan minimnya pelatihan menyebabkan kesadaran ekologis kolektif belum terbentuk sebagai warga negara ekologis. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Mendalo Indah melalui pelatihan biokonversi limbah organik menggunakan maggot (Hermetia illucens) untuk penguatan ecological citizenship dan pro-environmental behaviour. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-aplikatif-berkelanjutan melalui empat tahapan berbasis siklus PDCA. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebesar 75% setelah mengikuti pelatihan maggot sebagai solusi pengelolaan limbah organik. Program ini berdampak pada peningkatan aspek sosial, manajemen, dan ekonomi produktif masyarakat secara terpadu melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning).
